Wilderpark Reserves first home game of the season saw a very enthusiastic Wilderpark v Seal FC.
The game kicked off with Seal and an evenly match first 20 minutes saw some good football from both side with Seal breaking the deadlock first with a solo effort from their left winger, breaking through the Park defence and slotting home the opener.
Not feeling out classed, Wilderpark began applying pressure which seemed to unease the Seal players with every man giving there all.
A long ball pumped forward and a misdirected header Parks right winger Steve Rose pounced to lob the Seal goalkeeper leaving him stuck in two minds and the game was level.
As the first half continued Seal began pressing and from a very suspicious offside Wilderpark gained a free kick just outside the area , a long ball forward and a untimely clearance saw the ball sore high in the air and with a careful eye was volleyed home by Ricky Stevens for what can only be described as a very early contender for goal of the season .
Half time soon approached and Wilderpark were on very high spirits knowing that they were giving a very good Seal team a good game of football.
The second half started with Park kicking off. Seal quickly started applying the pressure very heavily and the game wore on Wilderpark defended their line like a scene from a battlefield and left no man behind.
With minutes counting down fatigue and lack of fitness started to set into the Wilderpark team as Seal were dominant for the latter part of the match and with a low ball across in between the back line and the keeper Wilderpark unfortunately turned the ball into their own net levelling up the game with minutes to go.
