A fiesty encounter saw Wilderpark defeat Eynsford Reserves 4-2 at Raleys Field in match which a player was cautioned on either side but well refereed.
Eynsford went ahead during the opening minutes when a cross from the right caused indecision in the Park defence and a visitors forward finished from close range. Almost immediately the home team got back on level terms when Christian Lloyd scored.
On 20 minutes good build up and a cross from the left found Andrew Streeter who headed home with the Eynsford keeper slow to come off his goal-line. Eynsford then pushed forward on every opportunity, although vulnerable on the break, and levelled soon afterwards
A quick break when the Park moved the ball skilfully from defence opened up down the left for the impressive Leon Lloyd to outpace his marker before hitting a hard shot into the Eynsford net. Chris Lloyd was brought down inside the area but the referee waived aside appeals for a penalty.
The match and the points were effectively wound up just before the hour mark when Streeter, who had an excellent game, got the rub of the ball to strike the ball inside the right upright. The Park dominated the proceedings thereafter and keeper Christian Esposito was a virtual spectator . Streeter might have scored a hat trick but when in a good position struck his shot over the crossbar.
A double by Wilderparks longest serving player Adam Everest gave the Reserves their first success of the season and a 2-1 victory over hosts Nomads A. Everests second goal, a powerful header, came from an accurate cross by Paul Bellringer.
